Good to know

Frequently asked

Is a day trip to Oyama worth it from Kelowna?

Yes, 20 minutes north of Kelowna airport gets you a two-lake swim, the rail trail, and a lakeside meal. The full half-day costs almost nothing (parking is free, food starts at $5).

What time should I arrive?

Before 10:30 if you want easy parking. Lunch line at Lu Lou's peaks 12–2, eat early or after.

How long is the half-day plan?

Five to seven hours including swim, ride, lunch, and a sunset cone. Compress to three hours if you skip the rail-trail ride.

Is it family-friendly?

Built for families. Shallow sandbar swim, kids dogs from $5, soft-serve cones, and a beach to run around on.

What if it rains?

Lu Lou's is covered patio + window service, so you can still eat, but the beach is the draw. Best on a sunny day.
